It's important for Community Managers to understand the difference between the Community and individual Groups. Note that Community Managers can make edits to the Community wide settings, while Group Managers can only make edits to the Groups they manage.
COMMUNITY FEATURES
The name of your Community is displayed in the top left corner of the page when logged into the platform. The name may also be displayed in the URL.
- The Community is housed under your domain.
- The Community can be thought of as an umbrella, under which all of your Groups are housed.
- Community Managers can customize Community wide settings including API, SSO, Zapier, and branding.
GROUP FEATURES
The Groups in your Community are listed in the left hand navigation.
- Members join specific Groups when registering for your Community.
- Groups can be tiered, with several levels of child Groups.
- Members in a child Group are automatically added to the parent Group.
- Settings can be individually customized by Group.
