Adding and updating your email address is quick and easy within the Forj Platform. Note that only Members can add or update their email address, and this must be done within the web platform.

ADD AN EMAIL ADDRESS
Multiple email addresses can be added to a single Member's profile. This ensures that the Member can log into the same account using any of the associated email addresses. Members can then decide on their primary email to receive communications at the Community level, rather than the Group level.
Note that adding email addresses already associated with other accounts within the Journey by Forj system will merge profiles. This cannot be undone.
Follow the steps below to add another email to your profile.
- Click your picture icon.
- Select Preferences.
- Click your current email address.
- Click Add an email address.
- Type in the new email address.
- Click the Save button.
The system will send a verification email to the new email address.
- Open the email and click the Verify Email button to confirm the new email.
- To resend the verification email, click the mail icon.
- To remove the email address, click the trash can icon.
CHANGE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
To change your email address, add the new address first with the instructions above. Then click the trash can icon next to the addresses you wish to remove.
ADMIN ASSISTANCE
Admins who would like to assist their Members in making a change to their Email address can direct them to click their profile icon and select Preferences.
Admins can also provide the following link to the Preferences page, using their Community URL: http://YOURCOMMUNITYHERE.mobilize.io/main/user-account
For example, the site below would need to send this link to their users: http://forjed-from-scratch.mobilize.io/main/user-account
This will direct Members to their Preferences page, where they can update their password, add or edit their email, or update any email notification settings.
