This example agreement outlines expectations, responsibilities, and boundaries for participants in the Mentorship Program. This can be used within a Course for Mentors or it can be provided in the Feed or Resources page of a Group for Mentors, to remind them of the requirements of the program.
1. Program Purpose
The program is designed to support professional growth, career development, and community building. Mentorship relationships focus on guidance, knowledge-sharing, and support—not on clinical, billable, or regulated work.
2. Nature of the Mentorship Relationship
Once a match is established, responsibility for the mentorship relationship belongs to the mentor and mentee. The association does not oversee individual interactions or guarantee outcomes.
3. Participant Responsibilities
Participants commit to:
- Acting with professionalism and respect
- Maintaining confidentiality
- Upholding the association’s Code of Conduct
- Communicating consistently and honestly
- Setting expectations collaboratively
- Providing feedback at program milestones
4. Boundaries of the Program
The mentorship relationship does not create an employment, supervisory, or legal relationship with the association. Participants operate voluntarily.
5. Confidentiality & Ethics
Participants agree to maintain confidentiality related to personal, career, and professional matters discussed. They must avoid engaging in unsafe or unethical conduct.
6. Voluntary Participation
Participants may pause or withdraw from the program at any time with notice to their mentoring partner and the program administrator.
7. Liability Statement
The association is not liable for disputes, communication issues, or professional decisions arising from the mentorship relationship.
8. Term
The agreement applies from date of signature until the end of the mentorship cycle, unless renewed.
