It is possible to adjust the data that you are viewing on an entire Dashboard, or just a specific Card. Follow the instructions below to adjust filters in your Forj Analyze instance.

FILTER A CARD
Follow the steps below to filter a Card.
- Hover the card to see Card options.
- Click the expand arrow icon.
- Use the existing filter settings to update Card data, if desired.
- Click the filter icon and select the Add Filter button to see the full list of filter terms.
- Select the desired filter term(s).
- Adjust the settings for the term(s) and click the Apply button.
- Adjust the Date range for the data if desired.
- Click the trashcan icon to Delete a filter if desired.
FILTER THE DASHBOARD
Follow the steps below to filter the Dashboard.
- Click the filter icon to search or select from the filter list.
- Once a filter is selected, click the Apply button.
The new filter(s) will display at the top of the page.
- Remove a filter by clicking the dropdown arrow and clicking the trashcan icon.
- To change the date range, click the Choose Date dropdown arrow, and select Date Range.
FILTER TERMS
For your convenience, we have listed the most commonly used filter terms with descriptions in the list below.
| Field | Description |
| group_id | This column contains the unique integer identifier for the group where the interaction happened. Groups are subsets of communities. |
| group_name | This column contains the name of the group where the interaction happened. The group name can be empty if the interaction is not associated with a group, like a chat or a search. |
| current_member_id | This column contains the unique integer identifier for the user who did the interaction |
| This column contains the email associated to the user who did the interaction | |
| name | This column contains the name of the user who did the interaction. The name field may be empty if a user did not include their name when registering or if it did not parse correctly |
| permissions | This column contains the community-level permissions of the user who did the interaction. Permissions can be collapsed to member vs. admin, where admin includes Account Owner, Community Manager, Group Moderator, Group Manager. |
| engagement_type | This column contains the type of interaction or engagement described in the row. The possible engagement types include: Post Created, Post Reply, Event RSVP, Poll Vote, Opportunity Application, Content Appreciation, Resource Added, Resource Downloaded, Resource View, Chat, Search |
| platform | This column contains the platform where the interaction happened, including: mobile, web, or email. We do not always collect this metadata so this field can be missing data sometimes |
| timestamp | This column contains the timestamp of when the interaction happened. Sometimes it includes the time down to the hour, but sometimes just to the day. |
| post_id | This column contains the unique integer identifier for the post that was interacted with. Some interactions don't include posts, in which case this field is empty |
| post_type | This column contains the type of post that was interacted with and can include: Discussion, Poll, Event, Opportunity, Recommendation, or Email Blast |
| reply_id | This column contains the unique integer identifier for the post reply that was created, and is populated only when the engagement_type is Post Reply |
| reply_type | This column contains the type of reply message or comment and can include: Original Post, Comment, Comment Reply, Private Reply, or Direct Message. It is most useful for distinguishing public messages from private messages (private reply/direct message) |
| post_author_email | This column contains the email of the user who wrote the original post (in the post_id column). This is useful for accumulating interations back to the original post author |
| post_author_member_id | This column contains the current_member_id of the user who wrote the original post (in the post_id column). This is useful for accumulating interactions back to the original post author |
| post_author_name | This column contains the name of the user who wrote the original post (in the post_id column). This is useful for accumulating interactions back to the original post author |
| post_content_body | This column contains the body of the original post (in the post_id column) |
| post_content_subject | This column contains the subject of the original post (in the post_id column) |
| post_created_permissions | This column contains the permissions of the user who wrote the original post (in the post_id column). This is useful for accumulating interactions back to the original post author |
| post_created_timestamp | This column contains the timestamp when the original post (in the post_id column) was created |
| post_deleted | This column is a boolean (true/false) of whether or not the original post (in the post_id column) was deleted or not - true means it was deleted, false means it is still posted in the community |
| post_deleted_timestamp | This column contains the timestamp of when the original post was deleted, and is empty if it was not deleted |
| post_viewers_count | This column contains a count of how many unique users have viewed a post (the post specified in the post_id column for this row) |
| resource_id | This column contains the unique integer identifier for a resource in the community, which is relevant for interactions of type: Resource Added, Resource View, Resource Downloaded |
| resource_name | This column contains the name for a resource in the community, which is relevant for interactions of type: Resource Added, Resource View, Resource Downloaded |
| resource_type | This column contains the type of resource, and can be useful for filtering resources to only presentations or only PDFs |
| request_id | This column contains the unique integer identifier for a search in the community, which is relevant for interactions of type: Search |
| terms | This column contains the search terms used for the search identified in the request_id column |
| chat_id | This column contains the unique integer identifier for a chat conversation in the community, which is relevant for interactions of type: Chat |
