Forj is happy to announce updates to Forj Analyze, enhancing your ability to understand and engage with your Community. These updates expand the strategic insights Admins can get from analytics with eight new dashboards. The dashboards offer deeper insights, cleaner visuals, and smarter tools to help you understand and grow your Community.
Note that this feature may not be available for all platforms.

Navigate to Forj Analyze Dashboards
NAVIGATE TO FORJ ANALYZE DASHBOARDS
Follow the steps below to access the Forj Analyze Dashboards:
- Login to your Forj Analyze (Domo) account.
- Select Community Analytics from the left Navigation menu.
- Select the Dashboard you wish to view.
USER ACTIVITY
Get aggregate and detailed visibility into user interactions on the platform. Easily see whether Members or Administrators are driving activity on the platform, identify your most active Members and Groups, and identify what platform Members use for interactions.
- Click the User Activity dashboard button to get started.
Total Interactions: Number of user interactions in the last 12 months. interactions include Post Created, Post Reply, Appreciations, RSVPs, Poll Votes, Opportunity Applications, Resources Added, Resources Downloaded, Searches, and Chats.
Member to Admin Interaction Ratio: The ratio of Member interactions to Admin interactions over the last 12 months. Interactions include Post Created, Post Reply, Appreciations, RSVPs, Poll Votes, Opportunity Applications, Resources Added, Resources Downloaded, Searches, and Chats. Administrator includes Account Owner, Community Manager, Group Manager, and Group Moderator.
- Adjust the Benchmark using the toggle from 0 to 10.
Most Active Users: Displays the most active users within the last 12 months, including a link to their profile. Their interaction count is a sum of Post Created, Post Reply, Appreciation, RSVP, Poll Vote, Opportunity Application, Search, Chat, and Resource Added.
- Click the user name to link to the Member Profile. There you can reach out to the user or you can consider adding a Member Badge or Role.
Most Active Groups: Provides the 5 most active Groups in the last 12 months, including a link to the Group. The interaction count represents how many times Group Members (excluding Admin) have Post Created, Post Reply, Appreciation, RSVP, Poll Vote, or Resource Added.
- Click the Group name to link to the Group in the Community.
Interaction by Platform: Each bar displays what percent of interactions in a month happened on each platform (email, web, or mobile app) over the last 12 months. Interactions do not include views.
USER GROWTH
Looking at individual Groups or at your Community as a whole, track trends in users, including total users, monthly viewers, monthly active users, returning users, and more.
- Click the User Growth dashboard button to get started.
Community or Group: Select the button to see data for either the Community as a whole or a specific Group. If Group is selected, click the Group Selector checkbox for the desired Group.
Group Selector: Select one or many Groups by clicking the checkbox next to the Group name.
Total Users Over Time: Number of users in a Community or Group in the last 12 months, compared to the previous 12 months. This number includes users who have left or been removed from a Community or Group, and reflects the total users at the end of each month.
Current User Count: For Communities this is the number of users who are Members of at least 1 Group. For Groups this is the number of current Group members. If multiple Groups are selected, this count will only include a user once even if they are in multiple Groups.
Active User Count: Number of active users in the last 12 months. An active users has performed at least one interaction in the Community which does not include views.
Monthly Viewers/Percent Monthly Viewers: Number of unique users who viewed any posts (via email, web, or app) for each month in the last 12 months. The % of users who viewed any posts for each month in the last 12 months is calculated using the number of monthly viewers divided by the maximum number of users that month (which can be higher than the users at the end of the month).
Monthly Active Users/Percent Monthly Active Users: Number of unique active users for each month in the last 12 months. An active user has performed at least one non-view interaction in that month. The % of total users is calculated using the number of active users divided by the maximum number of users that month (which can be higher than the users at the end of that month).
Returning Active Users/Percent Returning Active Users: Number and percent of returning users (users who were active on more than 1 day in a month) in the last 12 months. The % of monthly active users is calculated using the number of returning users divided by the total active users that month. Note that this can only be viewed by month, it cannot be filtered to other time windows.
Number of Groups per User: How many Groups has each user joined in your Community.
Users Added: Number of users added to a Community or Group in the last 12 months compared to the previous 12 months.
Group Members Added: Volume of Members added to a Group, month over month, and categorized by Group. Note that one user can be added to multiple Groups, and would be counted as added to each separate Group.
POSTS
Posting is the core activity in many Communities, and this dashboard lets you drill down on trends around posts. Are your posts getting replies? How many posts were created last month as opposed to the month before? Are Admins or Members posting more? This dashboard answers these questions and more.
- Click the Post dashboard button to get started.
Total Posts: Count of all new posts appearing in the feed (Discussion, Poll, Event, Opportunity, Recommendation) in the last 12 months.
Public Replies: Count of all public replies to Posts in the last 12 months.
Total Contributors: Count of all unique users who have made a Post (Discussion, Poll, Event, Opportunity, Recommendation) or a public reply in the last 12 months.
Reply to Post Ratio by Month: Number of Post replies divided by the total number of Posts created over the last 12 months by month. Includes public and private replies.
Post Interaction Rate: Percent of Posts in the last 12 months that have at least 1 interaction (Reply, Appreciation, Vote, RSVP, Application). Does not include views.
POST PURPOSES
Members participate in Communities like yours to accomplish something - so why are your Members coming to the Community? Our AI-powered categorization helps you understand the key goals and tasks that your Community Members are trying to accomplish in several categories: Announcing, Inquiring, Networking, Engaging, and more. This helps you find out what questions users are asking, identify who in your Community has been responding to questions, and even zero in on questions that don't have answers yet. This dashboard identifies which aspects of your service or product are most valuable to your users, and where there are opportunities to increase the value you provide to Members.
- Click the Post Purposes dashboard button to get started.
Purposes: Analysis of why your Members are posting. Based on Discussion Posts in the last 12 months (rolling). Does not include all Posts. Can filter by Group and date range.
- Announcing is announcing an event, meeting, podcast, etc.
- Inquiring is asking a question to the Community or Group.
- Networking is introducing oneself, a contact, or a group one represents.
- Engaging is posting something to get a conversation going.
- Mobilizing is encouraging Members to take political action.
- Recruiting is looking for volunteers, job applicants, proposals, etc.
- Celebrating is celebrating, congratulating, and/or thanking someone.
- Recommending is asking for or providing recommendations.
- Welcoming is welcoming Members to a Community or Group.
- Selling is trying to sell or give something away.
Members are asking questions about these topics: Word cloud of words most commonly used in Posts that Forj Analyze thinks are Inquiring (asking job-related questions). Based on the last 3 months of data.
Questions and answers: Identify Member questions that need answers. This table lists Posts from the last month that Forj Analyze thinks are questions, sorted with the questions with the fewest replies at the top.
- Click the Subject title to link to the Post in your Community. There you can answer the question or add to the Post in a reply.
Find someone to help answer questions: Identifies the top 10 users who have responded to the most unique Inquiring Posts. Can filter by specific Community roles, words in the reply, or job titles to find the right person to answer someone's question.
Search in Posts: Use the Search bar to find Posts (including Events) in the table below with a subject or body containing the keyword or phrase.
Posts in Year to Date: A searchable table with details about all Posts including date, hyperlink to the Post, author, author role, Group, the content of the Post, and views/engagement.
- Click the Subject title to link to the Post in your Community. There you can add to the Post in a reply.
RESOURCES
Monitor the use and effectiveness of your Resource library. This dashboard gives you insight into what types of resources you have, which Groups engage most with resources, and which resources are being accessed most frequently, helping you decide which resources to highlight and which might need updating.
- Click the Resources dashboard button to get started.
Total Resources: Resources added to the Community in the last 12 months.
Users Adding Resources: Number of users who have added a resource either directly in a Post or into the Resources tab in the last 12 months.
Resources Engagement by Group: Number of views and downloads of Resources over the last 12 months, color coded by Group.
- Hover a Group name to see the Group-specific data presented in the chart.
Resources Added by Type: Number of Resources that have been added in the last 12 months by type of Resource (PDF, image, document, presentation, video, spreadsheet, zip file, or other).
Most Popular Resources: Resources with the most engagement (views and downloads) in the last 12 months, along with details and links to those Resources.
Resources per Group: Number of Resources in each Group, sorted from least to greatest. Helps identify Groups that might benefit from additional Resources.
SEARCHES & TAGS
What are your users searching for? What do they want to know more about? What searches and hashtags are trending? This dashboard will help you identify trending topics, content gaps, and keywords that can help you determine what content is most interesting and helpful to your Members.
- Click the Searches & Tags dashboard button to get started.
Total Searches: Number of user searches in the last 12 months.
Total Users Searching: Number of unique users conducting searches in the last 12 months.
Total Search Terms: Number of unique search terms in the last 12 months.
Search Term Filter: Enter a search term to filter for term-specific data.
Count Searches By: Filter the data to show Unique people searching or Total searches.
Popular Search Terms: Word cloud showing the terms that have been searched in a Community in the last 12 months. The larger the term, the more searches that have been performed.

Search Trends Over Time: Displays the top 10 terms that have been searched in the last 12 months, sorted by total number of Unique people searching or by Total searches.

Popular Hashtags Used: Word cloud showing the hashtags that are used in Posts in the last 12 months. The larger the term, the higher volume of that hashtag within Posts across the Community.
Total Hashtag Usage by Activity Type: Number of hashtags used in content within each Activity Type (Events, Posts, etc.) in the last 12 months.
Total Hashtag Clicks by Group: Number of clicks of hashtags per Group in the last 12 months. When a user clicks a hashtag, it takes them to the search results for the given hashtag.
Popular Hashtag Terms Clicked: Word cloud showing the hashtags that have been clicked in a Community in the last 2 months. The larger the term, the higher the volume of clicks. Hover the term to see the total number of clicks for the hashtag.
CHATS
We know your Members join your Community for peer-to-peer connections. See how often Members are chatting, when new chat connections have started, and what platform Members use to chat.
- Click the Chats dashboard button to get started.
Total Chat Messages: Number of individual Chat messages sent in the Community in the last 12 months.
Total Chat Participants: Number of unique users interacting via Chats in the last 12 months.
Direct Message Chats by Month: Number of individual Chat messages sent and the number of unique conversations between two or more users in the last 12 months.
New Chat Connections by Month: Number of new direct message Chat conversations between users in the last 12 months. Note that if users chatted several times across several months, only their first chat occurrence would be counted and it would be counted in the first month of their interaction.
Chats by Platform: Number of Chat messages by platform (web, email, app) in the last 12 months.
Chats by Role: Number of Chat conversations between Members with each other, Admins with each other, and Members with Admins over the last 12 months.
